Review: The Mistake is book two in the Off Campus series and, while Hannah and Garret (from book one, The Deal) will always heave a special place in my heart, I loved it too.
The story follows college junior and hockey star John Logan (who appears to have it all—a life of parties and hook-ups—but hides a growing despair about his life after graduation and a complex, troubled home life) and Grace Ivers (initially shy and cautious with OCD tendencies, but that then evolves into a strong, witty, and highly likable character).
Logan and Grace have an undeniable chemistry, with their relationship evolving into something far more meaningful than either anticipated. The book skillfully balances humor and heart, even while tackling serious issues like alcoholism, forgiveness and second chances.
Overall, The Mistake is a wonderfully entertaining book. Ultimately, it can be read as stand alone, but in my opinion you shouldn't miss book one either, so my advice you be to read the series in order.
Happy readings!
