Review: Wilder

He's Paxton Wilder.

Twenty-two years old, tattooed, smoking hot, and the leader of the Renegades. The world is his playground, and for the next nine months, I'm stuck as his tutor in the Study at Sea program.

I want to hate him, to kick his arrogant ego right off this boat. But from the second we touch, my stomach does a full-on bungee jump, and I know he is as addictive as he is dangerous.

If I can't get him to take academics seriously, I'll lose my scholarship . . . if I don't lose my heart first.

Genre: contemporary romance

Publication date: September 2023

Mature content: yes

Review: Wilder is book 1 in the Renegades series by Rebecca Yarros and, in a way, it reminds me of her Flight and Glory series. Similar age bracket of the characters and similar traits, even if the setting is different (no military background in this one).

It's a pretty good romance story, with a side of suspense and a lot of cool stunts along the way. I felt some parts of the plot deserved a bit more development, but I had fun with this book and I will definitely look into the other two in the series.

Happy readings!
