Review: Royally Wed

Book Review: Royally Wed, by Teri Wilson, 4 stars

When Asher Reed, an American classical musician, is hired as a last minute replacement to perform at the royal wedding of Princess Amelia in Great Britain, he’s hoping he can shake his recent bout with performance anxiety long enough to get through the festivities and get his career back on track. Little does he know that his life is about to change forever.

As a guest of Buckingham Palace, he knows he has no business even speaking to the princess, but he’s completely awed by her beauty and more than a little intrigued by her rebellious spirit. Still, he definitely knows he has no business kissing her silly at the fitting of her wedding gown. He’s there to perform, not cause a royal scandal. But when he stumbles upon her groom’s appalling secret, the fate of the princess and the British Crown suddenly rest squarely in his cello-playing hands....

Genre: contemporary romance

Review: As promised, here is the review of book 3 in the The Royals series by Teri Wilson (you can read my review of book 2, Royally Romanov here). Originally the series contained three books, but sadly they don't seem to be available for purchase right now, at least not on Amazon.

I loved Asher and Amelia's story, I just wished their romance hadn't progressed so much while Amelia was still engaged to another man. Also, as with book two, the ending is really rushed. Yes, they do end up together, but they've left behind a royal mess (pass the pun) and there's no way there weren't negative consequences from the fact that a princess publicly walked out of her own wedding on wedding day, while already at the altar.

Still, the story and the characters are very compelling in a way that, once you start reading it, you'll be unable to put down this book.

Each book in the series is completely stand alone, so they can be read in any order. I'll be posting a review of book one soon too, and if anyone can find out these books still being sold anywhere, let me know and I'll share the links here.

Happy readings,
