Review: In terms of timeline, Enemy Games closely follows Enemy Within, book one in this Chronicles of the Empire series. Enemy Games, however, features a different set of main characters, and while some of the secondary characters do come from book one, overall I would say it can be read as a stand alone.

In book one I had a small issue with the plot complicating a bit too much. Enemy Games started out so well that I believed it would work better for me. I was wrong. Things were more or less clear cut until Jayleia and Damen arrive at the Silver City space station. From them onwards, the plot thickens so much, and so many new characters are added, that at some points I was totally lost about who was doing what -  and why.

So, while I do like the overall concept of this book, I can't bring myself to actively recommend it. If you've read and liked book one, you may want to give Enemy Games a try. Otherwise, it will just be too confusing and you'll probably end up frustrated and disappointed.

Happy readings otherwise,
