Review: Cold Silence is another instalment in the Cold Justice series by Toni Anderson. Even though I've read most of the previous books, each one features a complete story and can be read as a stand alone with no issues other - the only difference is that some secondary characters will be familiar if you've read at least some of the prior stories.
The first half of Cold Silence was unputdownable - almost non-stop action and a very intense plot. Half-way through, though, part of my interest waned a bit. I felt it as a combination of factors - the plot complicated maybe too much, with a lot of new details thrown in, not all of them fully explained or followed through; and a lot of Shane and Yael's personal feelings and dialogues become slightly repetitive after a while.
Don't get me wrong - Cold Silence is still a great book and if you love the genre you'll not want to miss it. It's just not, in my opinion, the best in the series so far.
Happy readings,
