As an editor at a major New York City magazine, Josie Kellum is always on the go...until an injury sidelines her in the small town of Sweetwater Springs. Luckily, her new physical therapist is easy going and easy on the eyes. When their sessions start to heat up, in more ways than one, Josie is intrigued. But she has a city and career she loves waiting for her. So why does the thought of leaving him suddenly feel a lot like leaving home?
Tucker Locklear is just starting to move on after his wife's death. While he can't deny his attraction to the gorgeous, vivacious Josie, he won't risk the pain of losing someone again. The sooner he gets Josie back on her feet and back to her real life, the safer he'll be. But in Sweetwater Springs, love has a way of mending even the most damaged heart.

Review:  I love the story of Springtime at Hope Cottage. More than a romance novel, this book passes on a lot of good messages about love, life and family. And there's also that small town vibe that makes these stories so vibrant and alive.

But...it took me a long time to connect with both main characters. The Josie that we read about in the first few pages sounds snooty and ungrateful, and not likable at all. And Tucker, for all his relaxed looks, comes across as close minded and full of pre-conceived ideas. At the beginning of the book the author tried very hard to make me believe they were attracted to each other and I wasn't seeing anything like that. This is the only  reason I'm rating Springtime at Hope Cottage with four stars instead of five.

As the story unfolds, it improves greatly. Josie and Tucker are nothing like the first impression I had of them, a lot of important issues are discussed and dealt with, and Springtime at Hope Cottage becomes much more pleasurable to read.

Happy readings,
