Two years after losing her fiancé, Sloan Monroe still can't seem to get her life back on track. But one trouble-making pup with a 'take me home' look in his eyes is about to change everything. With her new pet by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker's owner reaches out. He's a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: he wants Tucker back.
Well, Sloan's not about to give up her dog without a fight. But what if this Jason guy really loves Tucker? As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can't deny a connection. Jason is hot and nice and funny. There's no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: with his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak?
Genre: contemporary romance

Review: The first part of The Happy Ever After Playlist is just amazing. From just when Sloan takes Tucker (Jason's dog) home, to the messages she exchanges with Jason, to the way the finally meet, everything sounded just perfect.
Then life (his real life, mostly) gets in the way, they both start acting weird, and all the goodness starts to slide. Jason can't bring himself to be honest with Sloan and even after he promises he will always tell her everything, he still ends up telling the greatest lie of all. And Sloan, while I think she had the right to be outraged by Jason's lack of honesty, frankly either acts like a teenage brat or runs away instead of holding her ground. They both disappointed me a bit in the second half of the book.
Of the entire series, book 3 is still my favorite. You can read my reviews of book 1

Happy readings!
