When a woman is found brutally murdered on Austin’s lakeside hike-and-bike trail, investigative reporter Bailey Rhoads turns up on the scene demanding access and answers. She tries to pry information out of the lead detective, Jacob Merritt. But this case is unlike any he’s ever seen, and nothing adds up. With the pressure building, Jacob knows the last thing he needs is a romantic entanglement, but he can’t convince himself to stay away from Bailey.

Review: Great romance, great suspense. I loved both characters, but most especially Jacob. 

There were however a few things in the plot that didn't make one hundred per cent sense to me - and I still don't understand why Bailey is in flip flops at all times, even when it's not appropriate at all.

 

Also, the end of the book was a bit of a let down - so swift and quiet, when I expected some more action. But if you love romantic suspense, this Hidden is still a good book for you and a great start to a new series.
