Review: I loved How to Keep a Secret, mostly because it's a refreshing change from more mainstream romance novels.

There's some romance, yes, beautiful and heartwarming, between two people that were destined to be together but had both to grow up and live life a bit first, which makes their reunion even more worthwhile.

But, above all, How to Keep a Secret is about having no secrets - admitting to the people who love you most in the world and will always stand by you, that you did something wrong in the past, or that you were just not brave enough to come clean about something. In this book, everyone has secrets, everyone has been dealing with secrets in one way or another - Nancy has chosen to pretend nothing bad has happened during her marriage and as a result kept her daughters at a distance, Mack is spreading teenage drama around the block, Jenna is placing all her hopes on a baby instead of enjoying life as it is, and Lauren has been for years building a perfect world on top of a web of lies. Then that world comes tumbling down on all of them, and their only chance to return to normalcy is to come clean with each other and try to make the best of what they've really got.

It's a beautiful, beautiful story, one that will live with you long after you hit "the end", and I totally recommend it.

Happy readings,
